peter has more of an idea about what's going on around him than he lets on, but has a tendency to come across as arrogant, sarcastic and glib. he has a reputation for being unpredictable and for not thinking before he acts, lending himself to half-thought through plans and ill-advised actions. he tends to act in the name of what he thinks is best and will get the right results β he wants to save the galaxy but his own biases and guilt about past actions can get in the way of good decisions.
CONTENT WARNINGS
gotg and peter's history within deals with a lot of war, death and murder β peter himself has a lot or regret and guilt about some of the choices he's made, and has suffered with ptsd off the back of what he's been through. peter also tends towards maladaptive coping mechanisms, the most prominent of which β highlighted especially in more modern runs β is a tendency to use alcohol to avoid dealing with emotionally difficult topics.

am flexible with canon point and happy to adapt to best suit the scenario we're playing/have got in mind, however I deeply dislike the characterisation of peter circa bendis/humphries and would prefer not to play from that time frame.
